1. The software

Pylae is an open-source MCP proxy governance platform distributed under the MIT and Apache 2.0 licenses (dual-licensed). The source code is available at github.com/pylaelabs/pylae.

You may use, modify, and distribute the software according to the terms of either license. The open-source license governs the software itself. These Terms govern the commercial services described below.

2. Commercial tier

Pylae offers a paid tier (Pro) that unlocks additional features via a license key. Purchasing a license grants you access to gated features for as long as your subscription is active.

Pro features are provided as part of a commercial agreement. Using the open-source binary with modified feature gates is permitted under the MIT/Apache license, but is not covered by commercial support.

3. Free tier

The Free tier provides full proxy functionality, unlimited policies, and 30-day data retention at no cost. It requires no license key, no registration, and no account. The Free tier is not a trial - it is the permanent base offering.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are listed on pylae.net in euros (EUR). Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize recurring monthly charges when subscribing. You can cancel at any time - your features remain active until the end of the current billing period.

5. License keys

License keys are delivered by email after purchase. Each key is tied to your subscription and should be kept confidential. Sharing a key with third parties is a violation of these terms. We reserve the right to suspend keys that show signs of unauthorized distribution.

Violations may result in license suspension. We will attempt to contact you before taking action, except in cases of clear abuse.

7. Intellectual property

The Pylae source code is licensed under MIT / Apache 2.0. The PYLAE name is a trademark of Pylae Labs, filed for registration with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM, Filing No. 4318804). The Pylae logo and brand assets are also property of Pylae Labs. You may reference Pylae by name (e.g., "compatible with Pylae"), but you may not use the Pylae logo or brand in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.

8. Availability

Pylae is self-hosted software. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or data integrity of your Pylae instance. You are responsible for backups, updates, and infrastructure.

9. Support

Free tier: community support via GitHub Issues. No guaranteed response time.

Pro tier: priority email support at support@pylae.net. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

10. Limitation of liability

Pylae is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

In no event shall Pylae Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the software, including but not limited to data loss, security breaches, business interruption, or loss of profits.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is lesser.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pylae Labs from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the software, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

12. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time via email to support@pylae.net. After cancellation, your license remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@pylae.net within 14 days of the charge.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to paying customers and via the changelog for all users. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with material changes, you may cancel your subscription.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Madrid, Spain. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

1. El software

Pylae es una plataforma de gobernanza para proxies MCP de código abierto, distribuida bajo doble licencia MIT y Apache 2.0. El código fuente está disponible en github.com/pylaelabs/pylae.

Puedes usar, modificar y distribuir el software conforme a los términos de cualquiera de las dos licencias. La licencia de código abierto rige el software en sí. Estas condiciones rigen los servicios comerciales que se describen a continuación.

2. Nivel comercial

Pylae ofrece un nivel de pago (Pro) que desbloquea funciones adicionales mediante una clave de licencia. La compra de una licencia te concede acceso a las funciones restringidas mientras tu suscripción esté activa.

Las funciones Pro se proporcionan como parte de un acuerdo comercial. El uso del binario de código abierto con puertas de funciones modificadas está permitido bajo la licencia MIT/Apache, pero no está cubierto por el soporte comercial.

3. Nivel gratuito

El nivel gratuito ofrece toda la funcionalidad de proxy, políticas ilimitadas y 30 días de retención de datos sin coste. No requiere clave de licencia, registro ni cuenta. El nivel gratuito no es una prueba: es la oferta base permanente.

4. Precios y pago

Los precios se muestran en pylae.net en euros (EUR). Los pagos los procesa Stripe. Al suscribirte autorizas cargos mensuales recurrentes. Puedes cancelar en cualquier momento; tus funciones permanecerán activas hasta el final del periodo de facturación en curso.

5. Claves de licencia

Las claves de licencia se entregan por correo electrónico tras la compra. Cada clave está vinculada a tu suscripción y debe mantenerse confidencial. Compartir una clave con terceros constituye una violación de estas condiciones. Nos reservamos el derecho de suspender claves que muestren indicios de distribución no autorizada.

Las infracciones pueden dar lugar a la suspensión de la licencia. Intentaremos contactarte antes de tomar medidas, salvo en casos de abuso manifiesto.

7. Propiedad intelectual

El código fuente de Pylae tiene licencia MIT / Apache 2.0. El nombre PYLAE es una marca comercial de Pylae Labs, en trámite de registro ante la Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas (OEPM, solicitud n.º 4318804). El logotipo y los activos de marca de Pylae también son propiedad de Pylae Labs. Puedes hacer referencia a Pylae por su nombre (p. ej., «compatible con Pylae»), pero no puedes utilizar el logotipo ni la marca de forma que sugiera respaldo sin autorización por escrito.

8. Disponibilidad

Pylae es software autoalojado. No somos responsables de la disponibilidad, el rendimiento ni la integridad de los datos de tu instancia de Pylae. Eres responsable de las copias de seguridad, las actualizaciones y la infraestructura.

9. Soporte

Nivel gratuito: soporte comunitario a través de GitHub Issues. Sin tiempo de respuesta garantizado.

Nivel Pro: soporte prioritario por correo electrónico en support@pylae.net. Nos comprometemos a responder en un plazo de 2 días laborables.

10. Limitación de responsabilidad

Pylae se proporciona «tal cual» y «según disponibilidad», sin garantía de ningún tipo, expresa o implícita, incluidas, entre otras, las garantías de comerciabilidad, idoneidad para un fin particular o no infracción.

En ningún caso Pylae Labs será responsable de daños indirectos, incidentales, especiales, consecuentes o punitivos derivados del uso del software, incluidos, entre otros, la pérdida de datos, las brechas de seguridad, la interrupción del negocio o la pérdida de beneficios.

Nuestra responsabilidad total acumulada por cualquier reclamación se limita a la cantidad que nos hayas pagado en los 12 meses anteriores a la reclamación, o 100 €, lo que sea menor.

11. Indemnización

Te comprometes a indemnizar y mantener indemne a Pylae Labs frente a cualquier reclamación, daño o gasto (incluidos honorarios legales razonables) derivados de tu uso del software, de tu incumplimiento de estas condiciones o de tu infracción de cualquier ley aplicable.

12. Cancelación y reembolsos

Puedes cancelar tu suscripción en cualquier momento enviando un correo electrónico a support@pylae.net. Tras la cancelación, tu licencia permanecerá activa hasta el final del periodo de facturación en curso. No ofrecemos reembolsos por meses parciales.

Si crees que se te ha cobrado por error, contacta con support@pylae.net en un plazo de 14 días desde el cargo.

13. Cambios en estas condiciones

Podemos actualizar estas condiciones a medida que evolucione el producto. Los cambios sustanciales se comunicarán por correo electrónico a los clientes de pago y a través del registro de cambios para todos los usuarios. El uso continuado de nuestros servicios tras los cambios constituye aceptación. Si no estás de acuerdo con cambios sustanciales, puedes cancelar tu suscripción.

14. Legislación aplicable

Estas condiciones se rigen por la legislación española. Cualquier controversia se resolverá ante los juzgados y tribunales de Madrid, España. Si alguna disposición de estas condiciones resulta inaplicable, las restantes mantienen plena vigencia.
